Our Communication project consists of only 3 people. Fulvio Cusumano aka Froogle, Hayg Deryan aka Tainted-Love, and Ben Thorpe aka Iceman. We decided that we would create a Website that would be for Internet Newbies and Beginners, a hands-on guide to surfing Cyberspace. It�s a strange thing, but two or three years ago very few people in Australia) or the world for that matter) knew much about the Internet. In fact, most computer users (much less the rest of us) had never heard of it. Yet, today, the word 'Internet' adorns magazine covers, makes headlines, features in mainstream movies such as The Net, and has been linked in some way to almost every aspect of our daily lives. Surprisingly, fewer than one in ten Australians are actually using the Internet at present, despite the immense educational, business and recreational benefits it provides. Some users simply are not interested enough in computers to bother about the Internet. For others, there is no driving desire to get online, perhaps because they have not quite understood the many benefits the Net offers. And there are still others who just can�t seem to work out what the fuss is all about. But one of the main factors preventing Australians, from getting online is the fact that the first attempt, installing a modem and then configuring and learning to use the software, can be difficult at best, and very frustrating at worst. Our Website sets out to provide answers to all these problems. Once you�re up and running with your modem, you�ll quickly discover just what is out there in Cyberspace (as the online world is mainly referred to), and how you can access its many resources.
